Facebook CEO Gives A Speech In Chinese

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, gives his speech in Chinese language at a local university.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook Inc., enthralled the masses at the Chinese Tsinghua University recently when he gave his speech in Chinese completely. He spoke strongly about his and the company’s mission to transform the world. The chief executive officer became a member of the University’s board of economics and management in the previous year. Zuckerberg stated, "This was also my first real speech in any language sharing how I started thinking about Facebook's mission, what has kept me going through challenging times and what our mission means now looking ahead for our community of 1.5 billion people.” He further added, “The themes of believing in your mission, caring more deeply than anyone else and always looking ahead is relevant to anything you might build." In October 2014, the young CEO was successful in pleasing the crowd present at Tsinghua University where he conducted a question and answer session as well. The issue that aroused during that session was that the pronunciation of Mr. Zuckerberg was considered to be off slightly. Moreover, he also made one slip up that resulted in the social media moguls to states that the company has only eleven users. This time, he actually came up with his speech and improved largely. At TechCrunch – the popular tech website, Mr. Jon Russell stated that when the CEO spoke to the Chinese speakers, they were actually enthralled by the extensive vocabulary of the tech tycoon amid the fact that he took a relatively short span of time to learn. The only suggestion they had was that he could actually improve his tone since it needed some work. However, overall everyone agreed that the progress shown by the owner of the top social media platform is actually very impressive. Earlier in 2009, Facebook was banned in the region and is still banned to date. The CEO had initially shown interest in knowing more about China when he read “The Governance of China” by the President Xi Jinping. The book fascinated him so much that he asked all Facebook employees to read it. When he came to the University previously, he cleared that the company’s mission was to "connect the entire world", where he mentioned that company is keen about making harmonious relations with the authorities and masses at the People’s Republic of China. The future prospects seem extremely bright and he is willing to further extend the relationship with the Asian giant.

The social media giant is all set to make its earnings call on November 4, and analysts think that the giant will be reporting some major growth rates that have taken place during the fiscal quarter. Investors have come around to be a little over the bullish side while looking at Facebook stock but the negativity that has been observed lately has been making them confused about where the media company is actually headed. Is Facebook Stock Capable Of Being Stable On A Long Term Basis?

The social media company has shown great strengths on the index so far and analysts believe this trend will continue for some more time for the giant.

Facebook Inc has carried out a great business from the world of social media and is without argument the largest media giant currently working in the industry. The media firm has been generating high amounts of revenue for quite some time now, and analysts in the industry are constantly looking for weaknesses and strengths that the company can further ride on to maintain its high position in the market. The growth that the social networking giant has been showing for the past couple of years has turned out to be not only commendable, but also very impressive. However, investors in the firm have been raising concerns regarding the long term potential the media company could be showing in the future and where and how it could fall on the stocks. Analysts, on the other hand, have come out to be highly bullish about the Facebook stock and believe that there is hardly any reason for the investors to worry about the growth the media company has been enjoying for some time as it is expected to go on for some more time now. As for the stocks, the networking company has shown growth at such a fast pace that it has left no space for rivals to stand beside the firm where the revenue generation is concerned. As compared to the last year’s revenue, the current year of the financial calendar saw the social media platform to be making a growth of around 38 percent revenue increase which is not only a surprising factor, but it also shows that under Mark Zuckerberg’s guidance the company is sure to reach some more places in future. The stock of the company has had the most positive impact by the increasing number of active users and currently, the total number has come around to a colossal 1.49 billion. According to the concerns which are seen to be getting raised by the investors, the fact that at some point in time the networking giant might stop getting more active users is somewhat troubling the investing party. However, it should also be taken into consideration that the tech giant has decided to step into the ad business on the social media which is to raise double the revenue than it is already receiving. The social media networking industry is working on ad spend worth a massive $25 billion on the current basis, but news suggests that this is going to change into double the amount coming around at $41 billion in the next two years alone.

Facebook Inc (FB) Shows Massive Growth In Africa

The social media giant has showed great strengths in the African market in the past few months which is being taken quite positively by the analysts in the industry.

Recent news about social media giant Facebook Inc shows that the firm has been performing quite well in countries like India and Africa, which shows that all the strategies and techniques that are being tried out by the giant in order to make its mart in the emerging markets are working out just fine. A recent report that was released on Thursday showed that only in Africa, the firm has been seeing a massive growth in the user base with the users going up to numbers like 15 million in a very limited period of time. These statistics were taken out as of the data available for June 30 in the Nigerian state, whereas a similar report was published by the Reuters which showed that in the state of Kenya, the monthly active users had actually come around to be 4.5 million, a number which should make the rivals of the media giant worry. The firm has reportedly been focusing on making new apps and software for the usage of mobile and especially for smart phone owners and even though all these changes are initially focused on the market in the United States, analysts believe that this is also working efficiently for the users in Africa as majority of them used the social media network on their mobile phones. The Facebook Lite version of the app is another project of the giant that has made the analysts believe that the main reason so much success is being enjoyed by the firm in Africa and India is that they can now have access to the social media site through Lite which lets them see and communicate with their friends through messages while using internet space in the lowest forms. As per a research made by the analysts at Tech Crunch, it was also noted that the first time Facebook business launched the Lite app was in June of the current year and was right away launched in the emerging markets of Africa and India, in order to test the app in areas where it was deemed as the most useful. The fact that the African and Indian smart phone market is growing on a massive level has turned out to be much of a good news for the social media giant which means that the more the demand for smart phone grows, the more the firm can take advantage from it by making its app open to more users than before, with the user base growing at an alarming rate.

Is Facebook Hitting YouTube Hard With Streaming of Free TV Channels?

The social media giant seems to be quite serious about making a mark in the video streaming world as it releases app which will show free channels on streaming to users.

Facebook has recently announced that it will be launching its own TV services app which is sure to give a tough time to Google’s YouTube business, something that the search engine giant has something to worry now. The social media giant has made sure that around 400 channels are provided to the users of the social network which they can view through streaming.

The app that has been launched by the media company will be working in such a way that all the different videos from all over the internet will be collected and will be then guided into different channels. These channels will then be provided to the users which are active on the media firm’s website. Even though there are some important shows on the premium level like Game of Thrones and other games like that which the users will not be able to watch, there will be other video content available on the site which will prove as a good source of entertainment for them.

Furthermore, it should be taken into consideration how the firm has acquired Rabbit TV, which is a company that offers videos through a streaming system with particular subscription charges. The Rabbit TV Plus is also offers a premium service to the users in only a price of $10 for one year. Through this subscription, the users can then have access to a big number of radio channels, found all over the networking base.

Analysts are of the opinion that Facebook business has taken steps to go ahead and buy the services available by Rabbit TV but through this idea, the social networking giant will not be receiving much profit, making it look like a dead end to earn more revenue. However, the fact that this will let the media firm to engage its users in more activities on the media site than usual has been taken quite seriously by the company and it looks like users will be spending more time on the social media platform than before, only because of the excessively available free videos.

Videos have always been the ultimate aim that Facebook has wanted to reach on the social media site and the recent venture just shows how important the whole video streaming factor is for the company. The first time it released the whole video watching idea was through its acquisition Instagram on which users were first allowed to upload fifteen seconds videos on their timeline, showing things that they were doing in their daily lives.

Societe Generale Analysts Show A Bearish Attitude Towards Facebook Inc

The analysts believe that despite the increasing growth of the media company, there are a lot of things that have made them downgrade the firm's stock for near term future.

Facebook stock is one of those kinds which repeatedly receive positive comments from analysts. However, recently a research was carried out by a particular firm which ended up showing results in which it did not really prefer the social networking site and declared it as a stock that it did not exactly give preference to. One thing, on the other hand, should be taken into consideration that the same equity firm has shown downgraded Netflix a few weeks back while the company has received many positive upticks from all the other financial firms.

Even though Facebook business has shown massive signs of growing more and more in the future, the analysts at Societe Generale seem to be least bothered. The analysts of the firm have granted a rating of ‘sell’ to the media company despite the growth it has been observing lately. The equity firm is of the opinion that very soon the networking giant will be slowing down on the stock index and will start showing bearish signs which is why such a rating has been granted to it. This ‘sell’ rating is being observed by the analysts since the month of January and they have also shown their concerns over how the investors do not seem to agree to their choice of ratings for the social media company’s stock.

Societe Generale has also stated reasons why they believe the stock of the social media platform needs to be downgraded. One of those reasons is that the all the other equity firms are feeding on the fact that Facebook’s ad revenue seems to be rather positive on the index given the 73 percent of total cash revenues being earned through mobile advertisement. However, Generale analysts believe that this figure is too early to determine whether the mobile ad system any successful for the firm or not and have declared it to be rather ‘premature’.

The analysts have also informed in their research report that Facebook’s active user consumer time has shown a decline from the past two years which is another reason why they believe the popularity of the firm is going to decrease even more in the coming future. Even though the users of the social media are increasing day by day, the analysts of the firm are of the opinion that by the number of social networking apps that are being introduced every now and then, the media company’s popularity is sure to experience a dip. Furthermore, the fact that the social giant bought Whatsapp for such a huge price is being seen by the analysts in quite a negative manner.

Facebook Creates A Neural System For Forming Pictures

The social media giant has come up with interesting machines which works on artificial intelligence and is based on neural networking.

Facebook has come up with something new on the surface which is being received with mixed reviews by the audience. The social media networking site side by side with Google Inc have been working on creating a completely new system which is based on neural networking which is going to be artificial in nature. The machine that is being worked upon by both the tech giants in the industry has been working in interesting ways which have grabbed the attention of the analysts.

With the help of the machine, the media company can now make it recognize and know the objects that are near it. Also, with all the relevant information stored on the networking machine, it will now be seen that it makes up its own images and pictures on an automated level. The machine that is worked upon by Facebook business is presently designed in such a manner that it is remembering and storing information in which it records faces, car, and buildings, extracting all the information from images that are in a digital format. In return, the machine is now able to make images of its own from all the relevant information it extracts from the pictures it sees.

This machine has been deemed interesting by the analysts for another reason which has been recorded as the whole idea of adopting and learning things that it carries out are done precisely in the same manner that human minds do the same act. Humans record things in their minds supported by logic and reasoning. In the same way, this neural networking machine is raising interested eyebrows all over the industry by carrying out tasks that were believed to be possible only by a human mind.

At first, the networking machine made by social media platform company is seen to make an image and later it looks for similar objects in its system which is can match with the image in order to make it look more real and less bogus. A few days back, both the companies were seen to carry out a test on the images that are created by these machines to know how accurately it is drawing what it is taking it. In the research, it was seen that around 40 percent of the total sample people were unable to realize which picture was actual and which was created by the machine.

Facebook has long been working on artificial intelligence and this machine shows that it has taken one huge step forward in the industry where it can now stand tall along with Google Inc to have designed such a new technology product.

Facebook Increases Userbase Through Internet.org In India

The social media giant has quite smartly managed to increase its user base in India by offering a free internet app to users.

Facebook Inc has been carrying its activities in India for quite some time, hoping to penetrate deeper into one of the most populated countries of the world. Only recently it was seen that the social media giant announced a new venture for the developing software and internet industry in the South Asia’s region and planned to provide free internet to the users in order to attract more and more users.

At first this idea was opposed by quite a lot of companies as proposing a project in which free internet is offered is rather dangerous for firms that are earning from selling internet to the customers. Despite the criticism, the media company managed to provide free internet and browsing service through Internet.org to the users in India where the market still shows massive signs of growth.

According to recent news, it has emerged as a pleasant surprise for Facebook that the service that the networking site was previously opposed for has been working quite perfectly for the firm as it has seen a huge number of users flowing in using the free service. Through Internet.org, the social media company has been enjoying the user base of around 800,000 users which has come around to be quite a success for the firm. The new app that has been made available for customers through a number of telecom services operated in the country is being used by users which are not showing signs of slowing down.

Internet.org has helped Facebook make quite a few revelations among which one of them shows that around 20% of users who are now using the free app were not using apps on smartphones before. So by using Internet.org, they are reaching out to the social media giant which is turned out to be a huge step considered by the company. This app has resulted in being quite a useful one where the users do not face any connectivity issues and in a country where internet usage is still growing and developing, this has turned to be quite a significant step towards progress in the field.

Internet.org was established in India in February 2015 in collaboration with Reliance Communications and was offered to customers living in cities like Gujrat, Mumbai and Chennai.

On the other hand, this app has been receiving negative remarks from all over the country considering that it is affecting the net neutrality system in the state. Also, it being a zero rating app has resulted in affecting the business and usage of other apps of its kind.
