Facebook Faces Trouble In Europe Yet Again
The social media giant has again gotten in trouble, as the European law has disallowed all tech companies to use information of European users anywhere outside the region. Facebook Inc is one social media company which has repeatedly been experiencing a difficult time in the European region, mostly due to the privacy settings that are generally observed by the company but always turn out to be rather offensive for the giant. The most recent news suggests that the European authorities have shown massive disregard for all kinds privacy laws that are followed by Americans and have informed the company of its own set of principles that will followed in the region. Previously, a Safe Harbor was launched by the American government which allowed all the companies of the country to not only operate in Europe but also take user information from the country to theirs, which caused many complaints to rise from the state. However, a new program has been installed in the region which has not only dismissed the transfer of European information to the American region, but it has also dismissed all kinds of rules that they feel are taking away information of the users to the other country. All such activities are allowed to be stopped by the authorities at any time that proves to a threat to the people of the country. As for the social media company, analysts believe things are going to be a little more difficult now, since the rules have been tightened for companies like Facebook itself. Facebook business has also been deemed as a ‘data hungry’ company for which things have been made a little too difficult by the European authorities. Since the social media giant seems to be gaining most of its revenue through the ad generation business, which is mainly supported by the whole idea of selling personal user information in order to target the right audience with the right ads, according to their likes and dislikes. The social networking giant first got in trouble when an Austrian student turned against it and filed a complaint about how he did not agree with the kind of usage that was being carried out by all kinds of tech companies that belonged to the American country. He also said that it was clear that all such companies working in the region were surely not using the user information of the Europeans in the right manner and had a huge chance of being offensive to user sentiments, something that the media company does not really gives heed to. The same Austrian student has also demanded from the media firm to pay back all the users which it might have offended in the past.

Is Facebook Trying Its Luck In the E-commerce Industry?
The social media giant seems to be thinking of making another try to succeed in the e-commerce business which the analysts do not approve of.
According to the most recent Facebook news, it has come around that the social media giant is yet again trying to enter the e-commerce industry through its media site, something that is not being taken positively by the analysts covering the business and stock activities of the giant. The firm has already tried to carry out the same step before and even then things did not work out for the company.
Analysts believe that it is not taking its past in consideration and going towards this production without much insight. The media company only wishes to have users on the social media site for as long as it can be made possible which is why it is looking for new projects every day that will serve the purpose. However, this is something that the firm has already tried but did not find any success in it.
In the past, Facebook business experienced some harsh times related to the e-commerce industry. As per the records, the media firm initiated a project through which small companies could showcase their products on stores that they opened on the social networking site, and a pay online option was also granted to the user. However, it was seen that out of all the three stores that started business on the media site, all of them announced discontinuation of their activities on the site as things did not seem to be working according to plan. This incident showed that the efforts put up by the management of the company turned out to useless and a total flop. The recent news shows that the media giant still has not given up and wants to give another try in the business.
Facebook management recently announced that it will be introducing a buy button on its website through which users will be allowed to shop directly from the media site without going over to a third page or another party. This shows that the firm will be becoming a platform through which users will be able to make direct buys of products that they see on the site.
The fact that the site has a massive 1.5 billion users now is not ready to make the analysts change their minds about how the firm should not be coming in to the business all over again and how it is not going to work for it. The analysts have also started calling it the ‘f-commerce’ business in which the ‘f’ is being used for flop. The firm needs to re-evaluate its decisions of going into the business before things go out of hands again.

Facebook Gives Another Try To Bring Diversity In Employees
The social media giant has decided to follow the Rooney Rule in order to employ workers from minorities.
Facebook has been experiencing some issues regarding not hiring employees with equality for quite some time now, something that the social media network has been looking forward to change. The staff of the firm that needs diversity is being given special attention by the company this time around. Reports that have recently been circulating the industry are talking about how the ‘Rooney Rule’ is being applied by the media giant.
The Rooney Rule was a plan carried out by the National Football League in 2003, which was launched for a similar purpose. The company was recently seen to report its plan to diversify its network of employees and not give preference to any particular race or color. A spokesperson of the social media website was seen to confirm the news in a press release.
The Rooney Rule, back in 2003, was launched in order to involve people from even in the minorities to take part in recreational activities as well. The Rule helped the minorities in a lot of ways, as they were even offered high positions of not only coaches but also designations of general manager and above. Under this rule, the number of black people receiving jobs in the football world also increased by a mile.
A similar approach is being adopted by Facebook business in order to shun down the previously increasing criticism regarding the company’s racist behavior towards minorities. To show that the firm is not racist, this step is going to be followed by the media company soon. Taking into consideration the previous few months, it will be seen that the social media network has been attempting to apply this rule in some of the departments being run in the company’s management presently.
Apart from minorities, the fact that tech giants like the media firm and more of its kind do not hire women on an equal basis has groped quite a lot of negative attention from the general public which is why this problem is also being looked after now. Many giants in the industry are now looking for ways to offer more jobs to women and minorities both at the same time, in order to give a positive reply to all the criticism.
Facebook currently has an employee base of around 10,000 people and the networking firm was seen to declare that to increase the women in its work force needs a lot of time and work. Also, the Rooney Rule is being appreciated by analysts all over the industry and it is being expected that this would soon be followed by other companies as well.
