Facebook Rolls Out New Feature "Slideshows"
Humanitarian mission or self benefit? That is still a question Facebook users have not been able to answer, after the social media giant rolls out "Slideshows"
On Thursday, the social media giant rolled out a new product which will make video ads available to those people from emerging markets that have a hard time viewing them. This new product is called “Slideshows”. It is going to be a photo slideshow which will be created by a specific brand. The slideshow will work on all devices and levels of connectivity whether its 2g, 3g networks as such networks are widely used in Southeast Asia, India and South America. The purpose for the introduction of the new slideshow is that while the traditional video ad viewing is quite popular in the United States and loads on high level of speed there, in other emerging markets it takes a while to load. On a Facebook blog post it was stated that a slideshow takes five times shorter and smaller than the old-fashioned video ads. A slideshow is not merely a video but it is ‘video-like’ and definitely more entertaining and engaging. Facebook’s aim of launching “Slideshows” is that it has started to actively grow in emerging markets like India where internet connectivity is a long time issue. These places have weak WIFI and networks hence it become a difficult task for the user to load a 5 minute video. Facebook is looking to make more money from these emerging markets g that is way Zuckerberg has decided to launch the service in India. Mark Zuckerberg recently visited India to support and convince the nation to bring wireless internet to the masses through Facebook, Inc.’s Internet.org initiative. The CEO stated that at the conference, held in India, that it is a ‘moral responsibility to get the world connect – but ultimately it comes down to Facebook’s own benefit which will be that if internet is widely available to the masses that would mean more people will want to join Facebook and more companies will be attracted to advertise on the social media website. In the future the company has also planned to bring the same slideshow Facebook ad feature to Instagram. The service was launched in the Indian market on October 29, 2015. In other news, according to Tech Crunch, the company is rolling out another feature on the Facebook App through which users will be able to communicate with strangers in an easier way. This rollout is called “Message Requests”; this new request feature will be the replacement of “Other Messages”. Now the users will be able to view messages from other users that used to go directly in to the ‘other messages’ folder.

Facebook Inc Followers Feeling Satisfied With Instagram
The social network giant is ranked at 5th position among all its competitors, however the survey indicates that all the digital media sites are showing an improvement on the year-over-year basis.
One of the largest social media website around the world, Facebook, has attracted 1.5 billion active users. On the other hand, when it comes to fulfilling the requirement of 1.5 billion followers with respect to their liking and disliking, it needs more time to get the desired stance. Recently, Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) received the downgraded rank at fifth position among all its competitors. According to the survey and analysis, Pinterest acquired the top position for the second year consecutively, which is a great example of brilliance and hard work by the soaring organization. During the year, American Customer Satisfaction Index depends on a survey of around 5,400 social media users as well as search engine information and news websites. The inspection indicates that gratification and interest towards social media has shown an incline for the second straight year by 4.2% directed towards an ASCI score of 74 out of 100. It is observed that the user satisfaction for all the social engine websites, such as Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram, are showing an improvement regarding the user gratification, which is scaled by the Index. ACSI Chairman, Claes Fornell, indicated that the increase was directed to better smartphone apps. He said that for the time being, the consumers actually use their cellphones everywhere, which is the main reason behind the smartphone compatibility that is increasingly significant to customer satisfaction. The digital media has triumphed in order to improve the mobile experience, individually via mobile apps that can be elevated by operating system to establish superior compatibility with various display sizes. In addition to bringing the incline in social media follower satisfaction, Facebook has improved the quality of content. Currently a number of websites are using it as the important circulating channel for media franchises. David Van Amburg, the director of ACSI, states that the social marketing platform is an important path for new companies, and number of followers is increasing day by day. Users are joining Facebook and social media to receive the news updates. He further affirmed, “So perhaps it’s no surprise that social media now scores as highly as news and opinion sites in terms of providing fresh content and up-to-the-minute information.” It is expected that the social marketing organization will face tough competition in the news-publishing sector but as it has great experience to compete, it would not be a big deal for the company to make its position strong among all the competitors.

Can Facebook Grow More?
The social networking site has grown massively, but investors are now wondering if there's space for more growth or not.
Facebook Inc has achieved a little bit of what it has always planned to obtain and that is: millions and millions of more active users. According to recent news, it was seen that currently the social networking site has recorded around 1.4 billion users to be active on its media platform. Since 2004 when the media company was initiated, CEO Mark Zuckerberg is looking for reasons to growth. In 2008, after four years only, the firm had received an active user base of 100 million users which was taken well by the networking company. Keeping in mind the current situation of the firm where the monthly active users are seen to be more than the massive population of China, the investors and shareholders are now wondering whether there is more space for more users or not.
In the last quarter that was reported by Facebook networking company, it was noted down that MAU showed a slower speed of growth increasing by around 13 percent only while on the other hand, the quarter before that recorded a growth of around 15 percent in the users. To answer the question of investors and shareholders whether the firm will grow further or not, some analysts have given their verdict that they believe the social media platform to have a lot more space to expand more. This is being said, however, due to the plans of the media company that analysts believe are going to work in quite a positive way for it.
Recently it was seen that Facebook app was launched again in a version that was smaller in size but quite useful for users who use internet connections that are slower than others. This release of a compact app is for users who are seen using internet on 2G networks rather than 3G and 4G and it has been released not only in Africa and Europe but also in Asia and Latin America. The size of the app is just about 1 MB which makes it all the more easier for users to download it.
In the light weighted app, options of sharing photos have been provided along with the push notification system. However, some of the features have been eradicated from the app given its small size, which include watching videos and tracking locations of the users.
Other than that, the free internet feature that has been provided to developing countries by the social media network through internet.org is another venture that is making analysts quite positive about the future of the company, as through this new platform, the users are growing at a massive speed.
