Facebook Updates Photo Filters On Website

 Facebook Updates

The media company has released some new features for the users which can be used to make pictures look better on the networking site.

Facebook has made another update on the social media website for the users to bring interesting changes to the pictures the users post on their profiles for their friends to see. The new option that has been added to the site provides the users with the chance to put in more emotions to the text and content they post, by attaching it with some new and exciting stickers, that too on the pictures placed anywhere they want.

The users can not only add different stickers and emoticons to their pictures, they can also write texts on them. The update has specially been made to the desktop site as the users using the media site on their smart phones and app already had access to all these features. For users who have been using Snapchat on a regular basis, this particular news is sure to turn out to be an exciting one as now they can apply the same options and text to their pictures on the social networking site like the way they could do so on the popular chatting app.

Quite like Snapchat, Facebook business has also analyzed the likes of users who are fond of sharing their pictures with friends and typing out different texts on them as well as applying filters on the pictures that make them look much better and creatively attractive. As per the news reports, the social media giant has updated the site with an option to use new filters on the pictures people post. These filters are around five in number and have been named according to the season where the winter one will give the picture a blue-ish look and the summer one will make the picture brighter. Similarly, the rest of the filters bring a different look to the pictures. However, it depends on the user if he wishes to use the filters on his pictures or just stick to the original one.

Another significant change that has been brought about to the picture uploading feature is that now the users can also crop out their pictures right before making the upload. This was only allowed to be done on the profile pictures but the media company has now offered the same features to all the pictures that a user posts on the social media site. Along with that, the pictures can also be rotated and can be encrypted with different sized fonts as per the likes of the user. The firm has made sure that the user does not feel the need to go to some other photo editing app if he wishes to make edits and can do the same on the networking firm’s site.

H-1B Visas Need Reforms Which Might Put Facebook In Trouble

The social media giant is believed to be giving more jobs to foreign individuals which is making the local people more and more jobless and unemployed.

Facebook Inc is yet again going through trouble on a higher level and this time it is coming from Donald Trump, who is one of the people running for the presidential campaign to take place in 2016. The whole campaign has been shook up by Trump who believes that the skilled labors in the country are not being offered enough jobs as they should and are left unemployed because those jobs are instead given to individuals coming in from other countries.

This remark has been directed towards Mark Zuckerberg, who is the CEO of the social networking company, who is known to be hiring too many employees from other countries which is believed to be becoming a barrier for the people living in the country as they are then left jobless. The attack made on Facebook’s hiring policy is not silent as it has been mentioned in one of the press conferences that Trump has so far made. According to him, the immigration policy that is being followed by the media company and others of its kind in the industry needs to be reformed as soon as possible.

Furthermore, it is to be believed by him that specifically, a change needs to be brought about in the H-1B visa forms that are seen helping giants like the media company to hire foreign employees in a cheaper rate than hiring the American nationals in a normal rate, which is why they are left with no good jobs to take and the international employees are given more leverage and preference. This is something that needs to change in order to put a halt to the problems being faced by the people living in the country regarding unemployment.

It is not a surprising factor that for employees coming in from other countries, this is nothing but a great opportunity for them and their families as they not only get a job in the country but it also allows them to bring in their families and settle in the country as well. These employees then apply for residency in the country which is a usual trend followed by every other foreign talent employed by the American companies.

He also believes that once reforms are made in the visa department and less employment is given to the foreigners, the jobless majorities and minorities in the country will then be able to get more jobs in the local companies without facing too much trouble or getting too dominated by individuals coming in from other countries. Trump also believes that the social networking giant might be taking away jobs of many local individuals if it keeps on giving more jobs to foreigners.

Is Facebook Trying Its Luck In the E-commerce Industry?

The social media giant seems to be thinking of making another try to succeed in the e-commerce business which the analysts do not approve of.

According to the most recent Facebook news, it has come around that the social media giant is yet again trying to enter the e-commerce industry through its media site, something that is not being taken positively by the analysts covering the business and stock activities of the giant. The firm has already tried to carry out the same step before and even then things did not work out for the company.

Analysts believe that it is not taking its past in consideration and going towards this production without much insight. The media company only wishes to have users on the social media site for as long as it can be made possible which is why it is looking for new projects every day that will serve the purpose. However, this is something that the firm has already tried but did not find any success in it.

In the past, Facebook business experienced some harsh times related to the e-commerce industry. As per the records, the media firm initiated a project through which small companies could showcase their products on stores that they opened on the social networking site, and a pay online option was also granted to the user. However, it was seen that out of all the three stores that started business on the media site, all of them announced discontinuation of their activities on the site as things did not seem to be working according to plan. This incident showed that the efforts put up by the management of the company turned out to useless and a total flop. The recent news shows that the media giant still has not given up and wants to give another try in the business.

Facebook management recently announced that it will be introducing a buy button on its website through which users will be allowed to shop directly from the media site without going over to a third page or another party. This shows that the firm will be becoming a platform through which users will be able to make direct buys of products that they see on the site.

The fact that the site has a massive 1.5 billion users now is not ready to make the analysts change their minds about how the firm should not be coming in to the business all over again and how it is not going to work for it. The analysts have also started calling it the ‘f-commerce’ business in which the ‘f’ is being used for flop. The firm needs to re-evaluate its decisions of going into the business before things go out of hands again.

Facebook Cancels Internship Of Harvard Student

The media company has recently fired an internship student for making a plug-in that helped the user to obtain the location of all the users he talks to on the Facebook Messenger app.

Facebook Inc recently offered internship to a Harvard student named Aran Khanna who ended up creating a new plug-in on the Google Chrome extension which would help the user to know where all of his friends were presently.

This plug-in was a proof that the security system that was observed by the social media network was not good enough and the loophole in it gave space to the student to make something like that, which so easily entered other people’s personal information without their consent. As per a news article by ABC news, it was stated that the media company has decided to terminate Mr. Khanna from continuing with his internship due to what was done by him. The analysts believe that this has made it even clearer to the general public that the flaws in the security system were much more than realized by anybody in the industry.

Aran Khanna was recently offered an internship from Facebook business but things turned out differently when the firm realized he has made a plug-in named ‘Marauder’s Map’ which helped him to track the location of all of his friends, which was something that showed how flawed the whole privacy system was on the media site.

Back in the month of May when Mr. Khanna created the plug-in, it went extremely viral and was downloaded by a massive 85,000 times which showed that the popularity it received match no other plug-in. Originally, Facebook has allowed only two users using the Messenger app to know the location of one another but through this plug in, the user could know the location of anyone he started a conversation with on the messenger app. This was violating the privacy laws of the firm which was why the media company asked Mr. Khanna to take the plug in down and to discontinue with it as soon as possible.

Mr. Khanna obliged and took it off and restricted all kinds of usage on it, but only after a mere three days, it was seen Facebook management asked him to discontinue with his internship as the act that was carried out by him has violated many rules and regulations, something that they could not allow to happen.

Analysts believe that Mr. Khanna shows that he is capable of carrying out the extraordinary on the largest media site in the world and that instead of firing him, they could use him and hire him instead. Also, analysts believe that this student should also be rewarded for his mind that made him achieve something so big on the most protected media site ever.

Facebook Experiences Another Security Loophole Identified By A Software Engineer

The social media giant has been informed by a software engineer of a weak source in the security domain which easily led him to have access to the personal information of users.

Facebook has recently been accused of having a weak source on its network which led a software engineer to easily hack into the system and extract personal information of the users quite easily, which has raised quite a lot of questions of analysts and investors yet again. This is not the first time that such a situation is being faced by the social media network as this is something that it has also experienced in the past.

The firm has time and again been under the pressure to fix its security loopholes as it carries massive data of users that needs to be kept confidential. However, despite all the scandals, the firm has managed to yet again find itself in a troubling position since a mere software engineer has found his way easily inside the data base of the company that should have otherwise been kept hidden from everyone.

The issue in the security domain that was identified by Reza Moaiandin, the software engineer, is a very important defect that is now coming down on Facebook. According to a report by The Guardian, it was stated that the engineer managed to point out the problem in the domain of the media company alone without anybody’s help, which either shows that he was very smart to do or the firm was just careless about the security of its users.

The hack that was carried out by Reza made a whole lot of personal information of users accessible for him, which includes pictures, personal details and also the locations that the individuals were tagged in. The thing that has shocked the analysts is that fact the social media network is one of the biggest sites in the internet world which gives it very less space to actually get away with such a flaw.

The software engineer has actually carried out the hack through the mobile phone numbers that the people give to the social media giant. All the profiles and data that were made accessible through the hack were of those people only who had made their phone numbers available on the media site for their friends to find them easily.

Cyber security experts have emerged to be of the opinion that loopholes such as those provide a wide chance to hackers to easily extract important information of users and use it in an entirely wrong manner and also sell it to earn black money. This time, however, Moaiandin has decided to make the flaw public so that the media firm will work out the security issue in the best possible way which will make it difficult for the hackers to have access to any information on the media platform illegally.

Facebook Gross Releases: High Target Rate

Facebook has planned to release an upcoming business report tomorrow after market is closed. Analysts are assuming adjusted income of 47 cents per dividend at the turnover of $3.99 billion from April to June.

While in the 4th quarter of 2014, Facebook expected to report around 40% bounce gain as advertisers gathered to the social media-marketing site's advanced advertisement platform throughout the hectic vacation and shopping period.

Most of Facebook's growth came from advertising, as revenue from this key department increased by 43% annually, compensating for the 8% downturn in amounts and other remunerations. Advertising revenue went high to 55% on a steady currency basis.

Wall Street waits for the profits of 47 cents per dividend on nearly $4 billion in revenue in the second quarter from Facebook, entirely 37% progress last year. Facebook’s mobile segment promoted the increase, which is more than 70% of Facebook’s entire commercial profit last quarter.

The current data observed by the Nanigans suggested 142% rise in cost-per-thousand-impressions and a 187% growth in click-through rate. Officials evoke 25% successive growth in advertisement expenditure with Facebook clocking in about 75% of that. Data from Ampush predicted a 26% growth in mobile advertisement expenditure quarter-over-quarter, while Kenshoo data recommend a 114% boost in international paid social advertisement expenditure. Similarly, 27% increase per annum in the total time spent (in minutes) at Facebook is reported by COMSCORE, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCOR).

Assumptions are bit gutsy, as not only what ARPU and MAU does for Facebook stock price continues to develop, but also the company is able to produce its other platforms, as well as MAUs for each platform. While these assumptions are small in consideration to the dynamic model, analysts are not particularly bullish on Facebook’s current worth. Shareholders were subscribers of the stock in the starting of the year, but are now concerned about the company's immediate worth.

Facebook could face a ‘bumpy’ quarter and shares could jump, due to the stock's wealthy appraisement. However, this does not seem to be like a sensible investment, and as such, analysts are expecting profit before the company releases latest news this week.

Despite facing criticism from public and experts over recent issues, its graphs have endured significant pressure. People might have regarded is as the “network of masses”, but other concerns, such as violent viral videos, have bothered the company.
